EssentialResponsibilities & Duties:

Under supervision of senior engineers and managers, the candidate will:

. Work with minimal direction to solve problems and prepare technically accurate design documents as independently as possible

. Adhere to project scopes and budgets

. Mentor and direct engineering support staff

. Assess remedial technologies and prepare alternatives analyses and feasibility study reports.

. Develop and oversee pre-design field investigations.

. Support preparation of design plans and technical specifications for remediation of contaminated sites including earthwork and site/civil aspects of remedial construction projects

. Prepare cost analyses of remedial alternatives

. Assist with the development of technical scopes of work and cost estimating for proposals

. Support remedial construction oversight activities

This position has a field component; travel and some overnight travel are required. Candidates should be prepared to work in inclement conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

. B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering; M.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering strongly preferred.

. 5-8 years experience including preparation of design plans and technical specifications for remediation of contaminated sites, including earthwork and site/civil aspects of remedial construction projects.

. Experience in selecting remedial technologies and implementing remedial designs including field engineering and construction inspection and oversight.

. PE registration a plus.

. High attention to detail and self-motivated problem solver.

. Outstanding report writing and excellent communication skills are required

. Knowledge of MA and NY environmental regulations a plus.

. 40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER training is preferred

. Excellent computer skills with technical analysis software, AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, PowerPoint, and other computer applications.

. Willingness and ability to travel on short-term assignments as needed.

. Willingness and ability to perform field tasks and oversight year round, as required without restrictions.

. Valid U.S. Driver's license.
