SAP MES Manufacturing Project Manager (Contract)

Location: Melbourne Country: Australia

The Role

Our client is implementing a new MES system and is looking for a project manager to lead the project for an 8 month contract. The role will see you delivering a project in a fast paced FMCG environment.


The responsible person will need to work extensively with each stakeholder to underpin successful project implementations throughout the project life cycle.

The role will need to demonstrate effective leadership, strategic awareness and business partnering through:

Ensure successful implementation of the MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management) project on time and within budget
Provide advice on MOM project related queries
Execute the statements of work in accordance to the Project Plan using company standards for Project Management practices (blend of Prince 2 and PMP)
Manage the project's progress and performance and coordinate vendors and the project team members to deliver the scope.
Prepare the Steering Committee briefing packs and ensure executive alignment throughout the project life cycle.
Managing large scale projects with budget in $m AUD
Process design for data integration between SAP ERP and MES
Co-ordinate parallel streams of work to ensure efficient build, test and deployment
Business partnering with key stakeholders including Vendors, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance & IT teams
Coordinate SIT, UAT and monitor/manage issue resolution to deliver a quality solution
Change management and communication
Coordinate trainings and review training materials
Go-live/Hypercare support and BAU support structure roll out
Prepare for subsequent phases of the project
Ad-hoc project reporting
