Job Title: Tableau Prep Specialist
Location: Perth, Hybrid Working
Our client is a leading energy company, committed to innovation and sustainability. They are looking for a talented Tableau Preparation Specialist to join a dynamic team. This role offers a hybrid working environment, allowing you to work both remotely and on-site in their Perth office.
The Tableau Preparation Specialist will focus on using Tableau Prep to rebuild business processes and enable users to utilize Tableau effectively going forward. This position involves comprehensive training, data governance, and migration support to modernize existing business processes.
Responsibilities:
*Training on the Tableau Prep/Dashboard Platform:*
- Conduct hands-on, free-form training sessions covering Tableau Prep, Desktop, and Cloud to upskill end users.
- Provide support for data preparation, visualization, and deployment to modernize existing business processes.
- Tailor training to the specific needs of end users, with a particular focus on training superusers.
*Data Governance Best Practices:*
- Establish and manage data sources and content organization.
- Implement access controls and permissions to ensure data security.
- Standardize formatting and design guidelines for consistency.
- Promote the use of reusable content and shared data sources.
*Migration Support:*
- Migrate existing business processes to Tableau Prep and Dashboard.
- Transition data flows and business logic to Tableau Prep from existing processes.
- Leverage Tableau Prep's data preparation and automation capabilities.
- Support data integrity and efficiency throughout the migration process.
Required skill set:
- Proven experience with Tableau Prep, Tableau Desktop, and Tableau Cloud.
- Strong background in data preparation, visualization, and governance.
- Excellent training and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor content to different user levels.
- Experience in migrating business processes and data flows to new platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid working environment.
