Project Coordinator (Contract)

Location: Eastern Creek, Sydney Country: Australia
 

Client is a utilities brand based in the western suburbs of Sydney. They require an experienced IT project Coordinator for six months initially to assist with project workloads.

Primary responsibilities/duties:

  • Day to day assistance in management and governance of Financial monitoring, reporting and compliance for IT Projects including:
    • Weekly tracking of IT CAPEX expenditure
    • Labour hire resource time and expenditure management
    • Act as the gatekeeper for financial and contract expenditure
    • Procurement activities - raise purchase requisitions, payment of invoices
    • Assist Project Managers with forecasting activities and benefits management
    • Assist Project Managers with project transaction reporting and submit adjustments to finance as required
    • Reporting - Prepare weekly and monthly status reports, presentations and ad hoc reports as required
    • Assist in preparing monthly accruals
    • Project Audits
    • Identify improvements to IT processes
    • Maintain/Administer the PPM tool for the IT Portfolio
    • Project Administration

Required experience

Desirable:

  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in similar roles within the IT industry
  • A strong understanding of Project financial management
  • Excellent reporting skills

Qualifications, training and skills

Essential:

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Highly competent in working autonomously without supervision, and knowing when to take on additional tasks without being advised to do so
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel
  • Microsoft Project
  • SharePoint
  • PowerPoint

Desirable:

  • Project Management Diploma
