Job Details

IBM Master Data Management Specialist (Contract/Permanent)

Location: Sydney Country: Australia Rate: Market Standard
  • Candidates should be able to articulate the technical details of specifically how particular functionality works in IBM MDM
  • Candidates should have a thorough understanding of the MDM architecture and be able to explain this clearly
  • Depending on the experience of the candidate, we will ask questions and expect the answers accordingly. ie we don't expect someone with 5 years experience to provide the same answers as someone with 14yrs experience, and vice-versa
  • We are not looking for low-level details like table names, Java class names, etc. but we are looking for how the IBM MDM product works for a given component of the functionality
  • We look for evidence of the claims a candidate makes in their CV eg if they say they have developed functionality X, then we would expect them to be able to clearly explain the steps they followed to do the development, instead of just describing the functionality.
  • We have noticed some candidates can get irritated when we probe for more specific details to validate what they have actually worked on. Candidates should expect (and be comfortable) to substantiate their work history. If they get irritated when we ask for details, then this just gives the impression that the candidate doesn't know the details.
