The Role
The Defence Keymat Manager is the primary Defence Cryptographic Management Directorate representative for the production, management and accounting of keying material, which protects generic Defence telecommunication networks and systems in strategic, operational and tactical environments. 

The Defence Keymat Manager provides subject matter expert advice encompassing the lifecycle of keying material to Defence communications security accounts, various agencies and international partners.

About our Team
The successful applicant will work as part of small team of ADF and APS personnel exercising enterprise cryptographic management on behalf of the Defence Communications Security Officer in accordance with National Policy.

Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate would have extensive Defence communications security or communications management and planning experience, broader government or industry. They would be familiar with the communications architectures of at least one Defence Service, and be familiar with Defence, its concepts of command and the application of policy.

The ideal candidate would be familiar with Microsoft office software suite, and be able to draft and review minutes, briefs and reports.

The ideal candidate would be a flexible cooperative team member with excellent interpersonal skills, unafraid to engage respectfully with stakeholders across the Defence Australian Public Service, the Australian Defence Force, the Australian Signals Directorate hierarchy and Defence Industry on issues relating to communications security.
