About this role:

BlackRock is seeking a motivated individual to join the small but dynamic Australian Marketing team, based in Sydney, to lead our iShares Wealth Marketing function.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Australia, the role will work closely with the Head of iShares Marketing, APAC as well as the Head of iShares Wealth, Australia. The role is responsible for developing and executing our marketing programs across a number of client types in the wealth ecosystem including financial advisers, brokers, licensees, and platforms across both BlackRock and iShares' investment capabilities.

The ideal candidate will be a highly strategic marketer and collaborative individual to help drive partner connectivity and represent BlackRock's comprehensive investment offering to help deliver value to our strategic partners.

Key responsibilities will include:

Strategy development: Lead in the creation of marketing strategy, messaging and concept development, copy writing and production for collateral materials including web content, brochures, direct mail, email campaigns, newsletters, presentations and other sales tools.

Education : is a key component of all our marketing efforts and you will need to be able to develop and present content in an informative, highly engaging and differentiated manner.

Campaign Planning/Execution: E nd to end campaign management across a range of marketing programs including product launches, promotional and retention campaigns via content, digital and event activations. Integrated campaigns will need to be developed around the key business themes at the same time as managing resources and budgets, and reporting outcomes to all stakeholders.

Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with partners to ensure marketing objectives are aligned and brand integrity is maintained. Ensure all initiatives are aligned with local objectives and emerging opportunities. Work in partnership with Client Business, Investment & Product teams and other key stakeholders such as legal & compliance. Build a network of contacts across marketing counterparts in the US, EMEA and APAC.

Global connectivity : Whilst the role is focused on Australia, you will need to work in conjunction with regional and global marketing teams to ensure consistency across strategy, and messaging of campaigns. You will also ensure that best practice is implemented, and results are shared across markets and within region .

Content development: Manage global relationships to leverage content and commentary from global BlackRock and iShares resources. Develop strong internal networks within APAC and globally to ensure relevant content is localised and available for appropriate markets, as well as produce local content for segmented client types.

Partnership marketing: Establish and build tailored marketing content programs for key partners, based on agreed partnership objectives. Partner with investment teams, portfolio construction experts, relationship managers, as well as regional and global content teams to localise and tailor content to each unique partner.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Industry Experience: 8-10 years in Financial Services, preferably Wealth, Channel Marketing and/or directly relevant role including brand management and marketing
  • Strong commercial awareness, client acumen and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong understanding of the investment management industry including investment products, client segments and the competitor landscape
  • Ability to build strong, content-based relationships with internal and external partners
  • Driven and self-motivated with the ability to own and execute on a range of initiatives at once, including an ability to move projects forward in a complex environment
  • Ability to articulate strategy and plans to all levels across the firm
  • Strategic thinker with excellent written, quantitative and analytical skills
