About the Role
C/4HANA Cloud Operations (COPS) is a global team that manages multiple cloud platforms running state-of-the-art SAP solutions. Our mission is to build customer trust by operating, optimizing, and maintaining a highly stable and secure cloud platform, shared services, and underlying infrastructure. We also establish standards, tools, and automation services to maximize the efficiency of the support and delivery teams for a seamless customer experience. When you join us, you will work alongside an agile, dynamic group of talented and motivated individuals, and you will use and be exposed to a variety of world-class tools and technologies, including public cloud, Kubernetes, and Docker.
As a Junior DevOps Engineer, the focus of your daily work will be to participate in the improvement of the lifecycle of Operation services from UI design, development, unit testing to deployment. You may support services before they go live and maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health. Automation of routine tasks, insuring the reliability of these services such as incident investigation and postmortems may also be part of your daily work.
Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of tools that help mitigate problems and apply user-defined integrations, improving the user experience.
  • Execute changes that are necessary to maintain optimal system performance as per the requirements generated by the Solutions Architect team
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security.
  • Use automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
  • Execute plans for monitoring of all systems and applications in the production environment to ensure optimum system performance and availability.
  • Execute testing plans to ensure configuration changes, software upgrades, and patches are thoroughly tested and documented in the test environment before being implemented in production.

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, preferably Computer Science or a related discipline (or an equivalent combination of educational and work experience in a related field)
  • Adept at modern web page design
  • Experience in Java, javascript/typescript, css, SQL
  • Familiar with angular(2,4, 6), nodejs, spring, rest web service, json, postgress
  • Fluent in git, Visual Studio code, and on of wireframe tool for mockup deisgn


  • Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, etc.)
  • Experience with Jenkins and Rundeck
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent software-engineering role
  • Basic understanding of code deployment tools (Puppet, Ansible, and Chef)
  • Experience in network, server, and application-status monitoring
  • Experience with public cloud architecture such as Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, or VMWare
  • Experience with Dynatrace/AppDynamics/New Relic, or Splunk
