The Team

Scotiabank's International Technology & Integrations (IT&I) team is responsible for the delivery of divisional technology solutions globally and to drive large M&A Integration and Modernization initiatives within International Banking. The Regional System team provides development and maintenance services of Core Banking Solutions including ScotiaPro, eIAP, ITP and eTeller globally and the integration of these solutions with more than 200 local banking applications in the countries and global applications in Toronto.

The Role:

Manage and lead a team of Pega developers, responsible for directing and being part of the working team to ensure that all the activities of the assigned projects are carried out. Frequent interaction and negotiation with multiple vendors, including contract negotiations and input to technology and product development. Provide leadership, guidance, and drive strategic initiatives and solutions that enhance productivity, automation and employee development.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Proven strong record of meeting strategic technology targets, deliverables and operational demands while under stressful time constraints and demands
  • You have strong communication (preferably bilingual- English & Spanish) and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, relationship building, collaboration and people management skills with ability to influence and orchestrate resources at all levels
  • You have 5+ years of experience in design, development and maintenance of PRPC applications
  • You have experience in PRPC version 7 and higher
  • You have knowledge of PRPC best practices and direct capture of the objective
  • You have experience working on PRPC updates
  • You have practical experience with the PEGA decision rules and in the guidelines and processes of implementation of PEGA products.
  • You have practical experience in the design and implementation of complex workflows
  • You have experience in PRPC integration with external systems in a business environment (including, among others, the following SSO, SOAP, REST, MQ, EMAIL, File Listeners)
  • Post-Secondary education in Computer Science (related field) or 5 plus years of experience in Information Technology
  • You have CSSA or CLS certification
