For a short-term project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

(Junior) Research Analyst - Regulatory Reporting

You will join an international team responsible for analysing global equity holdings in issuers regulated in the EMEA region; monitoring holdings in sensitive industries and where appropriate, reporting holdings to the relevant regulators.

Your Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor or Master degree, ideally in Economics, Business Administration, Political Science or Law
  • Good knowhow of financial products and/or trade life cycles
  • Ideally some working experience in Banking or Investment/Fund Management
  • Interest in working on compliance topics, experience in working with legal judgements and interpretations would be an advantage
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Ability to analyze and process large amounts of data with attention to detail
  • Some understanding of process management
  • Fluent English skills, every other language is an advantage
Your Responsibilities:
  • Discharging the global obligations of the bank towards reporting of aggregated shareholdings in accordance with regulatory and legal requirements in each relevant jurisdiction and across all Business Divisions
  • Place and monitor trading restrictions and provide trade approvals to business when questions of regulatory ownership limits arise
  • Liaising effectively with internal staff outside the team, such as Equity traders, Capital Markets teams, Operations, in-house Legal and IT specialists, all while working closely with colleagues in EMEA, America and APAC
  • Build and maintain good relationships with Regulators, Exchanges, Issuers of Securities and other stakeholders
