About the role

Here at Babcock International were currently looking to recruit a Submarine Project Administrator to join the Energy & Marine business unit within our Marine & Technology Division.

As a Submarine Project Administrator you'll be responsible for undertaking all secretarial and administrative duties, including word processing, typing, filing and mail distribution. You'll pull together estimates from all departments within the business unit, review and provide information for bid reviews for internal and external customers. You'll also arrange design reviews, bid reviews, safety assessments and progress meetings, as well as taking and distributing meeting minutes.

Working closely with project managers, you'll provide updates and support off site and onsite meetings representing your business unit and Babcock.

What do I need to do the role?

You'll need a minimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above including Maths and English, together with Level 2 NVQ in Business & Administration or a suitable equivalent.

We would also like you to have some or all of the following:

* Strong computer skills including Microsoft Programs, and e-mail at a high level.
* Knowledge of the use of Sharepoint.
* Safety awareness and full realisation of the importance of this culture
* Experience of the documentation, ie classification and regulatory requirements used within a Maritime environment
* A professional image at all times whether in the office or off site visits

Lastly you'll need to be able to work autonomously in a structured way and be competent at self-checking to ensure all rework is kept to a minimum.

What else to I need to know?

* The position will be based at Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth, however travel to other Babcock sites nationally will be required from time to time
* Flexible working may be available, very occasional overtime may be required
* The successful candidate will hold or be able to achieve security clearance at the appropriate level for this position.
