Service Desk Analyst (Permanent)

Location: Peterborough Country: UK Rate: £19k-£21k per annum
 

Service Desk Analyst - £19,000 - £21,000 per annum - Peterborough

My client, a global organisation, is looking for a Service Desk Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis based in Peterborough. The successful candidate will be required to answer incoming calls to the Service desk via telephone and will also deal with emails within the agreed timescales.

The Service Desk Analyst will be required to:

*Document all user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue
*Prioritise and schedule problems. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced Support Analyst.
*Keep callers appraised of fault's progress
*Closing completed queries to avoid escalation
*Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the company

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, shifts between 7am - 7pm on a weekly rotating basis. Additional hours may be required where necessary including an occasional Saturday Shift.

The Service Desk Analyst will come from a strong customer service background, particularly in a telephone based role and be a strong communicator and problem solver. Any experience with ITIL processes and procedures is highly beneficial.
