CCTV Network Engineer (Permanent)

Location: England Country: UK Rate: £25k - £60k per annum

CCTV Network Engineer
£25,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are looking for experiennced CCTV Network Engineers and Architects for a large project that has just started.
You will be from a Civil/Industrial/Large scale background, installed/designed CCTV networks for road systems, power plants, heavy industry, railways, waterways, and other big builds (not shopfitting or domestic fitting).

A large, national project installing, configuring, and managing a network of comminucation and CCTV networks has just been awarded and we are looking for individuals and teams of CCTV Engineers and Archtiects to take on the long term work with a very established global organisation.

As this is a critical component of national infrastructure you will be working on a major technology transofrmation programme as well as provide ongoing supprt and maintenance.

You will be part of the core team overseeing the introduction of new wireless and IP CCTV services, new management systems and an all round upgrade of technology.

As part of your new role you will have some responsibility around documentation, statements of work, handbooks, user guides, training, and successful transfer into operations.


* Undertake equipment and application configuration
* Support the CCTV equipment, solution integration testing and support on applications, reports and interfaces
* Liaise with vendors and apply or oversee relevant updates and patches.
* Monitor performance and efficiency of the CCTV solution and instigate modifications and improvements where necessary
* Provide advice to end users on how to operate the network
* Resolve technical queries, Provide network training as required and Test new product releases or upgrades

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

* Previous experience of delivering successful IP CCTV projects within a customer facing organisation
* To demonstrate an active interest in keeping an up to date knowledge of IP CCTV technology
* Creation of clear and concise technical specifications
* Knowledge of multicast video techniques
* A computing or technical degree, CCTV Vendor certifications, CCTV-related BTEC qualifications or equivalent experience
* Excellent communication skills for completing documentation and communicate effectively
