An exciting opportunity has arisen within our client's ICT Infrastructure Team, for an ICT Infrastructure Engineer.

The Role

As an ICT Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

  • Have or be willing to develop the necessary skills to deliver the vast array of technical projects within the organisation.

  • Deliver projects and changes in technical services utilising project and change management processes to ensure that technologies released into production are performing according to the required standards.

  • Be responsible for security by design, ensuring that their approach to security is suitable to protect the organisation from a range of Cyber security threats.

  • Provide advisory services to the operational team for the purposes of improving 3rd Line support.

  • Promote transfer of technical knowledge to the operational team with detailed handover documentation and necessary training.

  • To use appropriate change control to minimize disruption to users and inform users and the Service Desk of any changes that may impact on service delivery in relation to the delivery of new services.

As an ICT Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

  • Be able to work in a high pressure role with a wide range of competing demands.

  • Have the ability to balance the needs of implementing technical solutions with the needs of customers and the overall business demands.

  • Understand the balance of implementing appropriate security controls whilst maintaining a reliable and robust network infrastructure.

  • Have an understanding of the direction of ICT and the ability to develop services in line with the ICT strategy.
