Operations Analyst (Contract)

Location: Belfast Country: UK Rate: £250 - £280 per day
 

Operations Analyst - AVP Controls Team

Belfast

Overview:

  • Leading financial institution searching for an Operations and Control Analyst to join a Controls Transformation team responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of control processes
  • As an Operations Analyst, you will be involved in account mapping, balance validation, and investigating discrepancies to resolution.
  • Keywords: Operations, Control, Excel, Banking, Financial Services
  • Day rate: £250-£280/day - Inside IR35
  • Duration: 5 months (rolling)
  • Hybrid working - 3 days/week in the office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute controls to validate Operations reconciliations
  • Monitor and ensure correct account classification
  • Investigate and resolve differences between reporting systems and general ledger
  • Liaise with business partners to understand key risks and resolution plans
  • Maintain issue tracking and enhance existing procedures
  • Assist in producing monthly statistics and departmental updates

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in financial services sector (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Understanding of basic project management disciplines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to exacting standards of accuracy
