Network Operations Centre Engineer (Permanent)

Location: Warwick, Warwickshire Country: UK
 

Telent- NOC Engineer, Warwick (Permanent)

We're looking for NOC Engineers to join our Network Operations Centre at the Warwick office. Providing support to customers and engineers you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring one of our largest projects runs smoothly.

About this role:

  • You'll monitor the system utilising tools such as System Center Operations Manager, Cisco Prime, Solarwinds and McAfee ePO to report and investigate potential issues
  • You'll provide 1st/2nd line support services to ensure all IT equipment and infrastructure is running at optimum performance
  • You'll configure and replace datacenter equipment such as Cisco & Juniper Firewalls, Switches and server hosts
  • You'll proactively update tickets to ensure all incident information is collated allowing all parties to have visibility
  • You'll meet and exceed SLA targets

What do I need to apply?

  • Previous NOC experience would be advantageous
  • Microsoft Windows System support experience is essential
  • You'll ideally have a detailed knowledge of core Internet technologies, ie Routing & Switching, DNS, etc.
  • Vendor certification with VMware, MS Windows System Support, Cisco or Juniper would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work within a close-knit team

Location and shift patterns:

  • The role is based within our Warwick office
  • Shift patterns will be 12 hour shifts on a 4 on/4 off basis
