Lead Java Developer - Permanent - Banking - Hybrid (Permanent)
Location: United Kingdom Country: UK Rate: £90-£100k
 

The successful candidate will have:

  • 8+ years commercial or similar experience
  • Architected, designed, and led development of a microservices solution using Spring Boot
  • Experience of Docker, AWS ECS and/or Kubernetes
  • Experience of implementing RESTful web services
  • Experience of unit testing using Junit, mocking frameworks and integration testing
  • Experience of deploying into and using AWS services including VPC, EC2, RDS, API Gateway
  • Experience of deploying and using industry standard development tools including Swagger, Jenkins

About You

  • You will have a strong desire to work in a start-up/scale-up environment with a delivery focused approach to problem solving.
  • You will be a born problem solver, keen to dig into the technology supporting our business and demonstrating high standards of professionalism and integrity throughout the working day.
  • You will be equally comfortable mentoring colleagues through technical detail as well as rolling your sleeves up and leading from the front.
  • Financial services experience is required.
  • Candidate needs to have led technical teams for 5+ years
  • Needs to have architected a solution of weight eg owned the internal application design for a companys main product/platform
  • Candidate should be technical first and foremost capability in project/stakeholder/client management is not required
  • Startup experience would be highly desirable as would experience in migrating to Java from another technology.
