Java Developer

McGregor Boyall has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Java Developer to join a fast-growing and dynamic technology consultancy organisation based from their office in Birmingham.

You will join a dynamic, agile team which rewards innovation and will be encouraged to challenge normal ways of working and drive forward technical advancements. You will work across the full SDLC from requirement gathering through design, development and testing and will utilize both your technical skills and your softer skills like communication and stakeholder management.

They are building cutting-edge payments solutions using technologies including Java 8+, Spring, Hibernate, SpringBoot, and Jenkins. They are cloud focused and currently using AWS and Azure solutions and are also passionate about Test Driven Development (TDD) and owning the quality of your code.

Experience Required:

  • 2+ years of commercial Core Java Development experience, ideally using Java 8 or above
  • Open Source technologies eg Spring, Hibernate
  • Microservices using SpringBoot
  • Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Test Driven Development (TDD)
