SITS Analyst (Permanent)
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire Country: UK Rate: £37099 - £45585.00 per annum
The University of Sheffield is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced SITS Support Analyst to join a small, dedicated team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Curriculum Manager module within the SITS student core system. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of the Curriculum Manager, a crucial tool used by administrative staff for managing course approvals and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 3 support for the SITS Curriculum Manager, addressing bug fixes, enhancements, and incident reports.
- Collaborate closely with the SITS Developer and other team members to analyze and resolve issues, ensuring long-term solutions to problems.
- Work in an agile environment, utilising JIRA for tracking and reporting on product development and incident management through TopDesk.
- Engage with business users to understand their requirements and deliver effective solutions that improve the overall functionality of the Curriculum Manager.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate:
Required Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of SITS (no specific module experience required)
- Experience with SQL (Oracle experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with incident management
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work effectively within an agile framework.
- Understanding of data analysis, particularly in the context of bulk data uploads.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to incident resolution.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
