Your new role
This is an excellent permanent opportunity based in Worcestershire to be part of the delivery of multi-organisational projects. As an experienced Data Engineer/software developer you will have an extensive history in building data pipelines and enjoy building systems from scratch and optimising them. In this role, you will support the software developers, analysts and architects on projects to ensure the high standard delivery architecture is applied.

You will also be responsible for the following areas:

  • Putting together large data sets that meet business needs
  • Identify and implement internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimization of data delivery .
  • Build infrastructure required for the ETL of data from a wide variety of sources using SQL and Azure.
  • Use Power BI to create outputs that utilize the data pipeline to deliver actionable insights into key business performance metrics
  • Work closely with stakeholders & data teams to help with technical issues
  • Keep data secure and complaint where necessary

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience delivering integration solutions using ASP.NET Core using C#, Entity Framework, AngularJS, Angular (TypeScript), Razor Pages, Blazor
  • Proven success using DevOps practises such as Source control, backlog management, Git, CI, CD with Azure DevOps
  • Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines/Architects
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Strong analytic skills and experience working with unstructured data sets
  • The ability to manipulate and process data while extracting value from large disconnected datasets
  • Experiences with SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Experience with Azure cloud services: Hybrid Connections, Web Apps
    Storage, Application Insights, Containerization, Azure Active Directory, Azure Automation, Key Vault, SQL Database, SQL Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Factory, Data Bricks and PowerBI
