Cyber Security Analyst (Permanent)

Location: Belfast Country: UK Rate: £30k-£35k per annum

Cyber Security Analyst/Threat Intelligence/Days role, No shifts/Belfast

Access IT Recruitment are working with a Cyber Consultancy who are expanding their Security Operations Centre in Belfast.

The client is seeking a Level2 Cyber Security Analyst who will be responsible for the detection of threats to internal systems and an external customers base. You will analyse the latest Threat Intelligence to proactively identify areas of potential compromise tuning systems and process to alert to issues and assisting with the identification of remediation activities.

Deliverables include:

  • Understands outputs from Vulnerability Data and able to identify complex Security Incidents

  • Creation of threat detection analytics

  • On-board log sources in alignment with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework

  • Investigate and monitor SIEM platform

  • Tuning of alerts and event sources to ensure highest level of defence

  • Ensure all identified events are investigated thoroughly

  • Work with Senior Analysts (Level 3) to improve and simplify processes

  • Work with the Threat Hunters to identify and assist in the remediation of advance security threats

Experience required

  • Experience of on-boarding, tuning, reporting and configuring SIEM solutions (QRadar, LogRythym would be ideal but this isn't essential)

  • Always remaining updated on new threats and developing security standards

  • Strong communication skills, experience working with customers during incidents and to improve security posture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SANS Certifications

  • Active or ability to obtain SC clearance

The salary on offer for this role is up to £35,000 per annum and there is flexibility to increase this for the right candidate. Please note this is a day's role and there is no shift work. There is some on-call work expected which is 1 week in 4.
