4G/5G RAdio Planner Engineer (Contract)

Location: Reading, Berkshire Country: UK Rate: £16k - £17k per annum

1- Understand Planning of LTE/5G networks

2- Understand planning for new cell sites and upgrade of existing sites.

3- Use of prediction tools to assist in planning phase.

4- Perform link budget and path-loss calculations to determine power, tilt and azimuth of cells.

5- Generate Radio Data sheets for deployment team

6- Identify and escalate significant changes in coverage footprint.

7- Application of coverage predictions to improve weak coverage spots.

8- Evaluate GA drawings from both site deployment and RF coverage perspective.

9- Evaluation of GA + site design drawing with respect to coverage requirement of the customer.

10- Give suggestion for improving and maintaining the coverage footprint under the constraint of external limitations.

11- Site design and drawing evaluation according to type of infrastructure ie Macro Greenfield, rooftop, street work, sharing tower.

12- Evaluate the shared tower & shared locations with OLO (other located operator)

13- Provide input to RF Compliance of ICNIRP Zones and steps of mitigation for ICNIRP non- compliance.

14- Confirmation of Site geographical location.

15- Allocation of site bearing and height according to the network coverage, capacity & traffic requirement.

16- Evaluating bearing and height changes based on ICNIRP Compliance requirements.

17- Maintain the database of RF information for all sites that go through GA process.

18- Femto cell design evaluation

19- IBS DAS evaluation.

20- Coordinate with third parties and customer for tracking and reporting of all tasks/issues

21- Feedback on the quality of drawings being received and provide insight for improvements.

22- Present updates and issue reports to customer.

23- Demonstrable Experience in technical field site surveys to finalize the site RF design as per requirement.

24- Get final approval from customer Radio planning function on the GA drawing while ensuring that coverage and capacity obligations are met for Huawei.

25- Target run rate of 100 GA per week along with all associated tasks
