St. Vincents Resourcings client, a consultancy who specialise in services to the health and social care sector, are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist for a project within an NHS Trust in the Norfolk area.

Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Specialist:

  • To act as the designated technical specialist on Cyber Security for the Trust, providing an expert specialist advice service, in accordance with national and local Cyber Security standards, best practice and appropriate legislation.
  • Design Cyber strategy needed to support current and future needs of the Trust.
  • Prepare and deliver phased programmes needed to deliver the Trusts cyber security strategy.
  • Update central Datix risk register with all cyber risks at a lower level and ensure they are actively monitored and managed.
  • Update policies and procedures to ensure cyber risks are being articulated in an improved form.
  • Introduce robust review schedule and related control assurance with escalation to the Trust Risk Committee and Trust Board as appropriate.
  • Develop a plan to review and improve existing control methods/assurance framework (based upon 10 steps to Cyber Security).
  • Develop a Cyber skills needs analysis and an implementation plan/comprehensive communications plan to ensure all business/IT roles are covered and engaged.

Skills & experience require for Cyber Security Specialist role:

  • Experience of working within an NHS Trust
  • Cyber Essentials certification.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience of developing and delivering an Information Security service to a large complex organisation using confidential and/or sensitive information.
  • Prior experience performing security reviews, audits and risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform phishing and Malware exercises and analysis.
  • Experience of setting up and implementing organisational policies, processes and procedures.
