Helpdesk Manager (Contract/Permanent)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £350 - £400 per Day

My Client, a leading Sports and Marketing Agency, have an immediate need for a Helpdesk Manager to join their team on an initial contract basis with a view to a permanent role if suitable.

Job Responsibilities;
Oversee all technology operations in line with established goals set by VP of IT.
Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.
Manage all areas of the EMEA IT department, including directly supervising and managing all employees within the team, including hiring new team members and handling employee concerns and performance.
Analyse the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
Purchase efficient and cost-effective solutions while managing corporate IT budget.
Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
Identify the need for upgrades or new systems and report findings to upper management.
Coordinate IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary.
Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase IT security.
Assist in building relationships with vendors and negotiating favourable IT contracts.
Active participant in global IT helpdesk with skills to help close tickets in a timely manner.
Perform monthly IT maintenance to ensure software is up-to-date.
Create monthly IT summary report listing project updates and budget status.
Work with business leaders and head of IT to drive strategy and policy for EMEA

Skills and Experience;

4+ years' management experience in an enterprise IT environment
10+ years' experience working in an IT Helpdesk
Microsoft Windows, Mac, Networks
Active Directory
Solid understanding of wired and wireless networks in and enterprise multi-site environment
Outstanding communication skills
