Head of Business Change (Permanent)

Your new company
Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting a Head of Business Change to join a large and growing public sector organisation in the Sheffield area on a permanent basis. You will be part of the strategic Planning and Change department and reporting to the Director of Strategic Change.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be providing strategic change leadership and taking operational accountability for the delivery of organisational change support across multiple, concurrent strategic projects. You will be developing clear and collaborative ways of working that increase the chances of successful delivery of strategic change projects, designed to bring together teams across the organisation, whilst developing and leading a multi-disciplinary team of circa 20 staff to provide organisation change support across multiple projects.

You will be ensuring the impact of service, process, and system change is assessed at all stages of strategic projects, in the context of organisational readiness and resistance, and develop and implement action plans to ensure benefits are realised and change is fostered and maintained. You will be ensuring key stakeholders understand the need for planned change management, whilst building effective networks across the organisation and deliver change that is rooted in understanding business need.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Extensive knowledge of contemporary change management practices and experience of applying change in complex organisations
  • Experience in project management methodologies and demonstrable experience of underpinning change with the right structure
  • Ability to develop effective change management frameworks that are focused on realising benefits that establish good practice for both strategic projects
  • Confident with working within a complex stakeholder landscape with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Highly experienced team manager with the requisite leadership and management skills to develop a high performing team
  • A background of business change and IT related projects and transformation would be ideal

What you'll get in return
