Due to the ongoing success, we're now looking for a proactive and experienced Service Designer t o join us o n a permanent/interim b asis, ideally with previous experience of working with the government digital service space, to join Difrent in assisting with our large healthcare organisation based in Newcastle.

Your Role

We are currently searching for an experienced Service Designer with a background in Agile to join us on our exciting high-profile digital transformation projects. We are currently working on a project with one of our clients NHS BSA.

We have partnered with NHS BSA to work on the applications for their jobs department. As the 5th largest employer in the world, the NHS needs to have a smooth and streamlined recruitment process that makes it easy to apply for roles as well as an easy recruitment process. As a Service Designer your challenge will be to ensure that the site is user friendly and that the service meets user needs as well as being optimal for the clients use as well.

Your Essential Skills

  • Know how the Internet works

  • Be able to sketch and prototype on paper and in HTML

  • Be able to work quickly in an agile environment

  • Work constructively alongside a variety of team members and be able to review the work of others

  • Know how to interpret user research

  • Understand how form and function work together

  • Know how to remove complexity from services

  • Be able to write for user interfaces

  • Explain design decisions and be able to represent a service at a service assessment

  • Assess a service and give constructive feedback

  • Put forward the case for design with a product manager

  • Collaborate on designs with a developer
