AWS Platform Engineer (Contract)

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland Country: UK
 

One of our public sector clients is looking for an AWS Platform Engineer to join their IT department on a contract basis.

You will have the following experience and knowledge:

  • Designing and building platforms in AWS.
  • AWS Serverless technologies.
  • CI/CD methodology and native AWS CI/CD tooling.
  • Automated testing within AWS
  • Agile delivery models - such as Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks
  • AWS Shield Advanced, WAFv2, AWS Firewall Manager
  • AWS Lambda, CDK, S3, Cloud Formation, API Gateway, EC2, AMIs
  • GuardDuty, Transit Gateway, AWS Config, Route53, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Codepipeline, CodeArtifact,
  • Containerised platforms, Openshift, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate.
  • Python, Bash, Ansible, Groovy
  • Git, Artifactory, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, Jenkins, Kibana, Grafana
  • AWSLinux, RHel, Ubuntu,
  • Experience with AWS Security and Networks.
  • Experience using Prisma Cloud

Our client operates a mostly remote working model. However, you may be required on-site in Edinburgh or Glasgow for the occasional meeting. As such, you must be willing to travel to Scotland when required.

6-month contract with possible extension, competitive day rate (outside ir35).
