The department is responsible for the management of the UK firm's data centres, network and server environment and associated services.

The team manages a segregated suite of infrastructure specific to internally and externally hosted applications. This environment operates in an agile way that is highly responsive to our business's needs. It is more akin to DevOps than to a traditional ITIL approach to operations.

The company is actively building new services directly into their global shared Cloud environment, currently utilising GCP and Microsoft Azure. The DASH team are also planning the migration of existing services from their current on premise location into the cloud. This process involves all data gathering, assessments and deployment in line with existing processes.

This team is responsible for the establishment, support, on-going operation, and deployment of distinct IT infrastructure.


This is a technical role in a small, customer focused dynamic team requiring an individual who demonstrates;

  • Knowledge, skills and experience to understand, build and operate the listed technologies
  • A strong breadth of technical skills in a number of elements of IT infrastructure
  • Customer focused with good communication skills
  • Ability to be creative, agile and flexible in a fast moving environment
  • Ability to work in a team and provide out of hours support as needed.
  • The ability to make logical and reasoned decisions is vital
  • Willingness to take responsibility and get things done

Must be willing to work an On-Call shift pattern on an as defined rotational basis

This role requires an individual who has proven technical experience in an enterprise IT environment. The following Technical skills are desired with "hands on" skills in the following technologies;

  • NetApp SAN systems - Support all underlying and their day to day management.
  • Including;
    • Perform SAN/Storage housekeeping and monitoring.
    • Utilise best practises in the management of the SAN and make recommendations on where improvements can be made.
    • Work with team members to plan and review any expansion or upgrades to SAN infrastructure.
    • Experience with storage protection technologies including Snapmirror, Snapvault, Snapshots and NDMP.
    • Working with block storage, FC LUNs, provisioning and management.
    • Experience with Netapp Cluster Mode would be advantageous
  • VMWare hosts and virtual Servers (VMware ESX/Horizon View -VDI)
    • Managing, monitoring and configuring the VMWare ESXi environment across all estates
    • Actively participate in project work for technology upgrades and migrations
    • Windows Server Operating System. Server build and troubleshooting issues.

Although not essential, it would also be an advantage if the individual has some experience in the following;

  • Microsoft Azure Cloud Hosting
  • Backup Technologies (Netbackup, snapshot, cloning)
  • IIS Webservers
  • Microsoft SQL server database (Install, operational activity, application assistance)
