.NET Software Developer (Permanent)

Location: Peterborough Country: UK Rate: £30,000-£35,000
 

My client in Peterborough requires a .NET Software Developer to join their team.

Job Purpose
Work within a team to develop and maintain the company's E-commerce website. Enhance and improve business-critical CMS and in-house applications. Provide support to internal users and external customers.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement new software applications, either individually or with other members of the team.
  • Maintain existing applications, making improvements where necessary to enhance the functionality.
  • Work closely with all other departments within the organization.
  • Use the latest tools and technologies to provide the best experience for our customers.
  • Be reactive to changing priorities and demands from within the business.

Required Skills:

  • Proven knowledge of C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
  • Proven knowledge of MS SQL Server, SQL language, creating database tables and writing stored procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task between different ongoing projects.
  • Able to work proactively alone or as part of an established team, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Good understanding of Visual Studio, preferably 2015 or later.
  • Good understanding of SQL Server Management Studio.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience with Angular JS.
  • ASP.NET Web API.
  • Experience of jQuery or similar.
  • Experience of GitHub, Jenkins and continuous integration.
  • Experience of VB.NET.

The candidate will be required to provide out-of-hours support on a rotational or emergency basis.

Paying between £30,000-£35,000
