We have a superb opportunity available for an ambitious Java Developer to join an internationally renowned E-commerce company who are expanding their presence in the UK.

The company are totally modernising several core platforms as well as building brand new applications so you can expect challenging greenfield work from the start..

Working in a fully flexible manner ie partly remote, partly in the office, you will be a key figure in the development of several new initiatives utilising the latest Java stack, AWS, Docker and NoSQL technologies - you don't need experience in most of this, so the role gives you the chance to gain commercial experience in highly sought after skills.

The fast-paced environment keeps their tech stack evolving so they are able to seamlessly support product portfolio that makes them the leader in their industry.

To be considered for the role, they are looking for some of the following skills -

• Strong Java experience, of developing commercial solutions in an enterprise environment

• Experience of working in an AGILE development team

• Experience of Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Data, IoC, Security, Batch, integration, AOP etc.)

• Experience of SQL, NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes and Kafka desirable

• Experience of implementing distributed systems in a commercial environment desirable

• Experience of subscription based eCommerce systems desirable

• Experience of test driven development

• Experience of database architecture and design desirable

As mentioned, this role gives you the opportunity to both work on new products from the get-go but also truly expand your technical skill set. You will gain hands-on experience in cloud and big data tech as well as gain professional gratification by having your efforts exposed to millions of users around the globe.

The company are offering a salary between £45,000 and £55,000 as well as excellent flexibility - you will be working within their Nottingham office and home (2-3 days remote at first but this can increase with time).
