Infrastructure Project Manager - NHS - North West - £250-300 pd (Contract)

Location: North West England Country: UK Rate: £250-£300 per day

Badenoch & Clark's NHS client in the North West of England is working with Badenoch + Clark to help them recruit an IT Infrastructure Project Manager for an initial six month contract on what is a very key and interesting project.

The role is to start as immediately as possible and rates will be in the region of £250-£300 per day (OUTSIDE OF IR35).

The core responsibility for the successful candidate will be leading on all project workstreams focused on preparing the IT infrastructure readiness in advance of a new clinical system go-live. Other project managers are leading on the system development and testing, so this role is offering project assurance that their desktops, hardware, network and server estates is fit for purpose to support the new clinical system once it is implemented.

Key focus areas of the project will include the following:

- Connectivity and Data Centre preparation, including data centre supplier management, connectivity testing and load testing.

- Infrastructure and hardware assurance - testing hardware suitable and uplifting/replacing kit where required.

- Network assurance - Assuring the connectivity of new systems, application testing, LAN/WAN/Wireless provision and assurance

- BAU Preparation - Guaranteeing BAU readiness and cutover planning

- Project reporting and communications - Managing expectations to the Board, key stakeholders and various workstream leads

Under this project, you will be provided other project management resources who will support in other workstreams (eg Legacy system closure), as well as IT support staff.

The ideal candidate will preferably have a strong background in delivering infrastructure readiness and preparation for NHS customers in advance of new clinical system releases.
