We have an ambitious growth plan at Difrent that will see us delivering cutting edge digital services to our Healthcare, Government and Private Sector clients. Due to the ongoing success, we're now looking for a proactive and experienced User Researcher to join us on a permanent basis, ideally with previous experience of working with the government digital service space, to join Difrent in assisting with a Central Government organisation based in Newcastle.

Your Role
We are currently searching for an experienced UX Designer with a background in Agile to join us on our exciting high-profile digital transformation projects. You will be involved in one of our projects on client site in Newcastle and will be an extremely important member of the team.
Difrent is currently delivering a wide-scale digital outcome for our partner, and the successful UX Designer will be working closely with user researchers to understand user needs and deliver conceptual design sketches and experience maps for the agile team and wider stakeholders. You will need to be able to produce multiple HTML prototypes for user testing as well as conduct guerilla usability testing and attend formal usability testing sessions. along with this you will also need to use GOV.UK prototyping toolkit to create clean Alpha builds within agile projects and present the product to wider stakeholders during show and tells, with narrative and taking questions.

Your Essential Skills

  • Service blueprint mapping
  • User experience mapping
  • User flow ideation and refinement
  • Sketching using Sketch application
  • Rapid prototyping using HTML, CSS and JS to create multiple iterations of design concepts for usability testing
  • Creating hypotheses for usability testing, and attend testing sessions to observe and assist in capturing findings
