Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (Permanent)

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

I am looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) who will provide dedicated technical support to a nominated production line within the manufacturing facility. You will be working in a fast paced, customer focused production environment, providing quick and effective solutions to daily production issues, support NPI (New Product Introduction) custom product opportunities and capability development (NPIs, CPOs, & CD) and contribute to longer term process improvements to drive productivity. You will also be required to participate with the design, (Solidworks, Pro/Engineer, AutoCAD,) procurement, and validation of manufacturing, assembly and test tooling/fixtures, development of assembly processes and procedures and to provide electro-mechanical support to production floor.

Key skills and responsibilities:

*Engineering degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing or mechanical engineering discipline
*Sound understanding of stress/strain etc.
*Understanding of Electro-mechanical assembly/sub assembly in a technical production environment
*Knowledge/experience of design for manufacture (Dfm) and design for test (Dft)
*Ability to use CAD (Solidworks, Pro/Engineer, AutoCAD) to design fixtures and analyse product designs
*Strong background in interpretation of Engineering drawings/specifications and manufacturing
*Strong analytical problem solving and inter-personal skills
*Good understanding/knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
