User Researcher (Permanent)

Location: Blackpool, Lancashire Country: UK Rate: £40-50k

User Researcher - North of England

We have an ambitious growth plan at Difrent that will see us delivering cutting edge digital services to our Healthcare, Government and Corporate clients.

Due to the ongoing success, we're now looking for a proactive and experienced User Researcher to join us on a Permanent basis, ideally with previous experience of working with the government digital service space, to join Difrent in assisting with a Central Government organisation based in the North of England.

As the organisation works through a number of complex projects and programmes across the business. Difrent is currently delivering a wide-scale digital outcome for the service, and the successful User Researcher will assist us in the delivery of the service. The User Researcher will possess experience working in an Agile setting and have a passion for true Agile delivery. The User Researcher will build prototypes to support user research and development and will work with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) User Stories.

User Researcher - Essential Skills

  • Research planning
  • Conducting contextual interviews
  • Ethnographic research
  • Usability testing
  • Analysing research
  • Communicating to all levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to simplify complex processes and findings into simple, easy to understand concepts
  • Basic UX skills to support Interaction designer (when needed) and help translate findings quickly into actionable recommendations
  • Creating easy to understand presentation
  • Presenting to audiences of all sizes

User Researcher- Desirable Skills

  • Educated to Degree Level with a 2:1 of higher
  • Demonstrable experience within government services
  • Demonstrable understanding of ways of working within the Public Sector
