Data Analyst/Reporting Analyst - Actuarial Data, Business Intelligence, Reporting, SQL, SQL Server, Python, Access, VBA. City of London, Permanent, cGBP 60k +Bonus +Benefits.

Data Analyst/Reporting Analyst required to work with a multi-national Insurance Corporation focussing on the Management Information Systems and Business Intelligence output from an Actuarial Data perspective.

This is a role which requires an understanding of Actuarial processes within the Insurance sectors and will be responsible for extraction, transfer, load and cleanse of data for the reserving process applied to overseas territories, non-life insurance business activities. Data will be transferred, in some cases, from Access to SQL Server and therefore any automation will need to be undertaken using SQL, Python and VBA (where applicable). Additional responsibilities will include the generation of reports and development of reporting functionality for the senior actuaries who are in turn responsible for providing Reserving, Pricing, Capital and Finance. The Data Analyst/Reporting Analyst will engage stakeholders to gather requirements for reporting and deliver changes to the data environment accordingly.

We are searching for a Data Analyst/Reporting Analyst who possesses experience gained working closely with Actuaries and Actuarial data within the Insurance sector. You will be highly proficient in SQL and be comfortable handling data in SQL Server and MS Access environments (ideally with some VBA exposure). Any experience of automating processes with Python would be highly beneficial although non-essential. And experience of the ResQ Reserving would also be helpful but non-essential.

Ultimately, your experience gained as a Data Analyst/Reporting Analyst within the Actuarial field within insurance markets, combined with your SQL data analysis capabilities will be the most important factor in securing this position. Ideally you will possess a strong understanding of the Insurance/Reinsurance business landscape (although not essential) and have worked in a large-scale global insurance corporation and perhaps in other areas of the financial services sector. You will have experience of working with multiple departments such as Finance, Claims, Underwriting/Pricing, Capital Modelling, IT and possess exceptional communication skills.

Exceptional opportunity to work within a stable, multi-national environment within a key role enabling the enhancement of enterprise level systems on a global basis.
