Your new job in Hook
In your new job as an Optical IP Project Manager based in Hook, you will be responsible for the delivery and governance of the end to end build cycle from the receipt of the scope of work to the successful handover of technical site infrastructure to Operations incorporating the management of the delivery partner implementation. You will lead, manage and develop the Strategic Partner Delivery Governance virtual team by successful partner, people and stakeholder management to ensure a highly engaged team and effective working relationships are established, maintained and the required business outcomes are delivered.

You will engage with Network Delivery Governance and key stakeholders to establish the detailed annual and quarterly service and non service catalogue technical site infrastructure build requirements, support gaining operational and commercial approval from the Network Delivery Governance team and finalising as an approved scope of work.

In addition, a large part of your work will be to manage the partner to produce a baseline strategic partner delivery programme from the approved scope of work and create the required delivery plan, cost profile, communications plan along with the associated issue, risk, dependency and change registers to enable successful management of the programme of work. You will also manage the overall partner delivery programme execution, risks, issues, changes, dependencies and costs to ensure the delivery meet the required quality, time and cost from both the external and internal partners.

Furthermore, you will manage the end to end delivery quality by creating a quality plan and ensuring that the defined measures are met through quality assurance activities, driving quality control through performance evaluation leading to continual improvement and providing performance feedback to the Network Delivery Governance team.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful Project Manager based in Hook will:
Extensive experience in the cable, satellite or telco industry
Good track record of delivering complex projects
Good overall knowledge/familiarity with telecommunications technologies, including Optical IP
Ideally has worked for another Telecommunications provider
Successfully engage with partners and the Liberty Global organisation by identifying stakeholders, creating communications plans, sharing information, reporting performance and managing expectation
Expert relationship manager supporting vendor and partner relationships
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to form strong business relationships across multiple locations
Strong record of people management in a technical environment, including communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Resource management expertise gained in similar technical environment across both partner and in-house teams
Knowledge of data, transmission and related core network technologies
Preferable accreditation in ITIL and knowledge of ISO270001 and ISO20000
