Engineer - Digital Forensics (Contract)

Engineer - Digital Forensics

Please note: You will need to hold SC clearance for this opportunity due to project timescales.

Description:

You will be working on security, design, configuration and support for DFNet.

The post is as part of the DFNet Design Team. The team is responsible for the administration and design of the digital forensic network. This post is to work on the network security of the system, building of components such as Servers and endpoints and user support. It also involves the configuration and management of elastic clusters.

Essential Skills:

  • Basic understanding of networking (CCENT, CCNA, Network+ or similar)
  • Experience Implementing and Managing a Windows Environment
  • Understanding of Linux (Ideally CentOS)
  • Firewall configuration (Palo Alto ideally)
  • Experience of vCenter and other VMware tools such as NSX

Desirable Skills:

  • SOC skills such as threat Hunting, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning, Incident Response
  • Programming Skills (C++, .NET or similar)
  • Experience implementing security controls (CIS, NIST)
  • Malware Analysis (PE, Office Docs, PDFs)
  • Ability to spot malicious attacks and Remedy (Process Injection, XSS, DoS etc.)
