Data Visualisation and Analytics Specialist (Permanent)

Be-IT is working in close collaboration with a leader in exploration geology and geophysics applications for use in oilfields. They have a comprehensive portfolio combining high quality and performance services, added value and innovation; this company enables its clients to make the best use of technology and increase their ROI.

The role

You will join an established department as a data visualisation and analytics specialist, you will be responsible for the creation of dashboards and will use data-driven methods to analyse and solve business situations and create solutions aimed at improving analytics to internal and external customers. You will do this whilst considering data management & governance in line with legislation and business directive.

To be successful in this role you will need experience of

  • Data management and data governance
  • GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and GIS applications (ArcGIS/QGIS)
  • Development of visualization and reporting dashboards
  • Practical experience of SQL, SQL Server and Postgres
  • Web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
  • Programming skills with Python being the preferred language
  • A professional attitude (self-starter; ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team as required; ability to meet deadlines; ability to present ideas to others)

Advantageous skills:

  • Experience with the Tibco Spotfire platform
  • IronPython an advantage
  • Working knowledge of ETL tools including FME, SSIS
  • Familiarity with data validation and data model process from internal and external sources
