IS Business Partner (Permanent)

Location: Glasgow, Scotland Country: UK Rate: £55k
 

Be-IT are currently supporting our market leading client within the Education Sector in their search for an IS Business Partner.

This role would suit an experienced IT Service Delivery Manager or IT Project Manager who would be keen on taking on a new challenge with a broad role within a maturing organisation during a period of change.

Within the organisation, theIS Business Partner will performa specialised technology and service advisory role to business stakeholders, combining substantial technical and business knowledge to guide technical proposals and decision-making. The role also ensures the IS departments services and support functions are aligned to the specific needs of the organisations technology users, guiding internal IS service improvement initiatives, and facilitating business access to appropriate IS specialists when needed.

The ideal candidate would meet the following criteria:

  • IT-related Degree and/or equivalent IT Service Management experience.
  • ITIL or equivalent ITSM qualification/experience
  • Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management qualification/experience
  • Building and managing relationships between an ICT service delivery function and diverse senior business stakeholders, aligning IT services to the needs and strategies of the business.
  • Driving performance and service excellence for User Support and Services for an ITIL-standard ICT service delivery function across the range of applicable user technologies
  • Developing and overseeing delivery of Guidance material and technology training offerings for support staff and end users
  • Completing detailed business analysis, research, solution design and specification, and business case development to meet business needs and strategy
  • Managing technology and business change projects using standard methodology such as Prince2 to plan, organise and control schedule, resources, budget and risk, to successfully deliver business objectives
  • Designing and implementing business solutions across the full range of End User Computing technologies including User Software Applications, Personal Computing Devices, Mobile Devices, AV, Smart screens, Telephony video conferencing, Printing and Scanning, Authentication and Access, Enterprise user and device Management Tools
  • Specialist functional and technical knowledge of implementing IT services, processes and metrics within Help Desk/IT Service Management Systems
