Applications/Product Specialist SME - .Net, CRM Dynamics

My client is a leading global Insurer based in the City of London and they are seeking an experienced Applications/Product Specialist to work as part of the Application Development and Support team to design, build and support the firms digital solutions primarily for various .NET solutions including MS Dynamics CRM and various in-house solutions.

You will operate as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for these applications working closely with the third-party providers in agreeing solutions and roadmaps to support the Business and IT strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the application architecture, Design and Build approaches.
  • Accountable for, but not limited to; Performance, Capacity modelling/management, DR, Resiliency, Technical debt, maintainability and supportability of the .NET applications.
  • Responsible for solution integration, upstream and downstream.
  • Responsible for the technical currency and roadmap of the applications, working closely with architects.
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with Business teams and other Product Owners in the delivery of all changes.

Rough split of the role:

  • BAU Support
  • Architecture, design, planning, service management
  • Business relationship management
  • Hands-on development

Note - some out of hours support will be required in support of deployments of high severity incidents, compensation will be provided accordingly.

Skills and Experience Specification:

Technologies:

  • Experience of designing, developing and deploying a customised web applications ideally Microsoft Dynamics CRM but this role will be broader than Dynamics
    • CRM version 2015+ (on-prem)
    • Certification in MB2-716 Microsoft Dynamics 365 customisation and configuration (or equivalent earlier exam) would be an advantage
    • Experience developing entities, fields, plugins, workflows, business rules, forms, views and security
  • Experience working with Microsoft BizTalk would be an advantage
  • Extensive experience in C#.Net development essential.
  • Extensive experience with LINQ preferably within LINQpad.
  • Experience with both SOAP web services and RESTful APIs
