Our client are a global, science-led biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the discovery, development and commercialisation of prescription medicines. Operating in over 100 countries and their innovative medicines are used by millions of patients worldwide. Due to high business demands, our client are looking for multiple Research and Development Business Analysts to join their growing team in Cambridge.

Your new job in Cambridge
Based on a prestigious client site in Cambridge you will perform business analysis and design either alone delivering small to medium size business change activities. The Business Analyst operates with a high level of interactive communication, demonstrating high levels of inclusion and cultural sensitivity. The role will partner with the Business Relationship Manager, taking responsibility to deliver high quality business cases, business process designs and ensure that proposed solutions meet established quality and compliance standards and business solution needs.

You'll be part of a team of 2 business analysts in Cambridge and Sweden and will work closely with the local HPC user scientific communities acting locally, but delivering globally.

AZ scientists across R&D use a growing scientific compute platform (SCP) and some Legacy HPC platforms. We need to understand:
What scientific processes and data are used on our HPCs and identify any gap with current SCP service
How the SCP service needs to be enhanced to support these scientific activities
Clarify what transition and migration looks like.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful Clinical Research and Development Business Analyst based in Cambridge will have:
Proven experience of capturing business rules from a range of stakeholders and deploying them as policies and standards
Experience working within a Clinical/Scientific environment is essential
Experience with synthetic chemistry, protein chemistry, stem cells, viruses, or molecular technology would be an advantage
Able to work with scientists in labs to understand their experience and their needs.
Proven experience of successfully using a variety of business analysis tools/techniques to enable business change
Strong engagement, communication and stakeholder management skills, including excellent presentation and influencing skills
High level of proficiency with common business applications (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint)
