Business Readiness Programme Manager (Coventry)

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Readiness Programme Manager to join a sector leader based in Coventry.

As Business Readiness Programme Manager your role will be responsible for ensuring the business is ready for transition, in terms of Target Operating model and Ways of Working, through leading the operating model and change management teams in defining and driving delivery of business readiness deliverables, with agreed success criteria, against defined schedule and costs.

The role will need to provide coaching and support for the Senior Leadership Team through the definition and change process.

Business Readiness Programme Manager - Responsibilities:

  • Target Operating Model
    • Create and manage the Target Operating Model implementation plan
    • Guide the Leadership team in the development and implementation of the Target Operating Model, including Process, Operating Structure, Data and Information, ensuring end to end consistency across all operational and functional areas
    • Define and drive the process and deliverables for the Target Operating Model, gaining agreement to what needs to be in place pre-transition, during transition and at transfer to BAU. (Go/NoGo, Acceptance and operational criteria building on and refining transition KPI trackers)
    • Ensure definition and sign off of all Target Operating Model deliverables required for 'Go' transition decision and final acceptance by the business
    • Coordinate the full time SLC members and delegates in assuring effectiveness of end-to-end values stream and cross-functional processes
    • Identify and manage dependencies, risks and mitigating actions that could impair successful delivery of the above
  • Ways of working
    • Lead overall change management plan, including leadership engagement, key behaviours, transition support and business change support
    • Coordinate all other change management stakeholders (comms & engagement, HR etc) in delivery of a coordinate change management plan
    • Coach and support business leaders and identified change agents in change management tools and best practises, building capability in key leadership roles
  • Identify and manage dependencies, risks and mitigating actions that could impair successful delivery of the above
  • Lead the business readiness team (change management, process alignment leads) in delivery of the above responsibilities

Key skills and experience required:

  • Extensive experience in defining and delivering the implementation of Target Operating Models, including Processes, Organisational Design, Tools and technology and Data
  • Extensive experience leading change and transformation, ideally in a traditionally minded organisation with limited centralised change processes
  • Ability and experience in leading and coaching business leadership teams through change and transformation
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable interacting and influencing at C level.
  • Experience of delivering projects through standard, robust project and programme management tools and techniques
