Geospatial Developer (Permanent)

Are you looking for a challenging role as a Geospatial developer? Do you have the ability to solve geoscience challenges and develop complex geoprocessing models, workflows and applications and want to join a fantastic team who specialisein geoscience applications for use in Oil Gas exploration? Skills required

  • Computer Science, Geography, GIS, Engineering or related degree or a post-graduate GIS
  • Experience developing software/tools to analyse spatial data
  • Knowledge and understanding of OGC standards such as WMS, WMTS, WCS, CSW
  • Experience with client and Server Side GIS technologies, such as ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcObjects, GeoServer, QGIS and PostGIS
  • Experience in WebGIS development
  • Server Side programming languages such as Python, C# or JavaScript
  • Frontend technologies such React, Angular, Typescript
  • A professional attitude (self-starter; ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team as required; ability to meet deadlines; ability to present ideas to others).


To be successful in this role you will need experience of working on complex products using GIS technologies you will have a proven track record in applications and in and will have worked on Geology or Geophysics previously. You will have excellent communications skills and provide routine updates to key stakeholders.

It would be advantageous if you have any knowledge of one or more of the following; Resource industry experience, familiarity with statistical analysis, SDE/corporate and SafeFME experience, Spatial Analyst extension and/OR QGIS.
