Business Development Executive (Permanent)

Location: City of London Country: UK Rate: Up to £40k per annum
 

Role: Business Development Executive

Location: London

Salary: £40,000

The Business Development Executive will work with the Head of Sales, the Regional Account Directors, and the Marketing team to prospect and contact potential clients in the assigned territories. The successful candidate will research and contact financial institutions to ensure that all potential prospects in the assigned territory are identified and qualified.

Responsibilities

  • Present Asset Control's value proposition, educate prospects on our product and its principal use cases/applications
  • Collect detailed information on what prospects are currently doing/using and their future plans around Asset Control's core use cases
  • Execute sales campaigns and programmes to help generate new prospects/opportunities
  • Prospect and create new leads and opportunities through cold-call prospecting, leads driven via webinars, email promotions, trade shows and events, web enquiries and phone enquiries etc. using consultative sales skills
  • Execute an entrepreneurial approach by initiating proactive follow up to turn prospects into opportunities
  • Ensure opportunities are qualified properly and ensure referral to the relevant Regional Account Director
  • Use Salesforce to ensure activities are documented properly and detailed information regarding the prospect and/or opportunity is communicated
  • Build and maintain territory plans
  • Provide weekly updates to Management on sales activities, results and forecasts
  • Provide operational support for the Head of Sales

Personal Attributes

  • Must have excellent verbal, written and telephone skills
  • Previous sales or telephone marketing experience is required, preferably selling financial or technology products
  • Understanding of capital markets use cases like market data, market risk management, product control is desirable
  • Must have high energy and ability to make a large number of prospecting contacts on a daily basis
  • Must have the technical acumen to understand requirements and objections, and to articulate the advantages of our products and services
  • Organisational skills for territory planning and management
  • Additional languages preferred
