One of our German based Oil Trading client is looking for a Regulatory Analyst whose role provides daily performance and control analysis of the trading business.

Job Description:

  • To assess market risk, perform accurate and timely daily quantitative analysis such as VaR, stress test and capital models.
  • Analyze, investigate and comment PnL results
  • Experience in MiFID and EMIR.
  • Ad hoc analysis where necessary
  • Guarantee compliance with controls
  • Identify market risk factors and build models to capture economic and statistical characteristics (eg market curves)
  • Support Audit Request and Front Office in reaction to market risks as well as the development of new markets/products.
  • Participate in projects, eg MS Azure based BI Platform, process automation initiatives, etc.
  • If needed, SHould be willing to travell to Hanover Office

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Mathematics, Econometrics or Engineering
  • Experience in the area of Market Risk Management is beneficial
  • Strong command of risk management, mathematics, modelling and numerical techniques
  • Knowledge on programming in Python and SQL, excellent knowledge of MS Excel
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills combined with the resilience to work in the fast-paced environment of global trading and wholesale
  • Willing to take responsibility and grow a career at risk management
  • Very good knowledge of English required (spoken and written). German is a plus.
