Post Type: Permanent, 20 days holiday pa plus statutory days,

Hours: 9am till 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 9am till 4pm Friday and 1 evening (Weds) 6pm -9pm (Note Wednesday evenings can be paid as overtime or taken off as time in lieu)

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Arena Training Centre offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced electrical practitioner to deliver training on a range of electrical installation courses.

Arena Training Centre is a small privately-owned College which offers a range of courses and bespoke training in the Electrical Industry. We are proud of our friendly, relaxed atmosphere that places students at the heart of everything we do. We demand high standards across all courses and our staff have a breadth of experience in the industry with many still working in the sector.

We offer the following courses.

  • City and Guilds 2365 Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures)
  • City & Guilds (5357) Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment and Electrotechnical Services
  • Domestic Electrical Installer
  • City & GUILDS 2377-22 Portable Appliance testing
    • In House Level 2 Certificate for Domestic Installers (Part P)
    • City and Guilds 2382-18 18th Edition Course
    • City and Guilds Level 3 Award in Initial Verification for Electrical Installations
    • City and Guilds Level 3 Award in Periodic Inspection Testing and Certification
    • City and Guilds 2396 Level 4 award in the design and verification of electrical installations
    • Emergency Lighting and Fire Alarms
    • Introduction to Inspection and Testing
    • NVQ Electrotechnical 3 (Buildings and Structures)
    • City and Guilds 2393-10 Building Regulations
    • AM2 (PRACTICE DAY)

PURPOSE OF POST

  • Develop Teaching resources.
  • Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and tailored curriculum for students across a range of Electrical Training Courses.
  • Facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides student with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential and meet an acceptable professional standard.
  • Be accountable for the progress of students taught.
  • Mark and Assess work.
  • Maintain standards of Health and Safety
  • Participate in team meetings and Standardisation Meetings.
  • Undertake Professional Development to maintain up to date working knowledge of industry.
  • Participate in the evaluation of the college and individual and college Development Planning.
  • Support the general day to day running of the college and any other duties that might reasonably be requested by the Director.
