Service Operations Manager (ITIL Expert, CAB, Service Delivery)

A Service Operations Manager is required to join a global Retailer who are based in SW London, to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created position within this well-known business. As Service Operations and Improvement Manager you will create and continuously improve IT service processes.

You must have more than ITIL Foundation to be considered for the role.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + package and benefits

As Service Operations Manager you will manage key services through partners to ensure a high level of service delivery. You will also offer support as required by the business. As Service Operations Manager you will build strong relationships with various stakeholders across the business.

As Service Operations Manager you will have the following roles and responsibilities;

  • Create and continuously improve IT service processes.
  • Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting and helpdesk systems.
  • Performance manage 3rd party service providers.
  • Line manage the helpdesk function.
  • Liaise with IT Programmes team and Service Design & Transition Manager to on-board new systems.
  • Liaise with IT Solutions team and Infrastructure Manager to implement and operate 2nd and 3rd line support processes.
  • Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the senior IT management team.
  • Review and keep updated the IT Change process and documentation
  • Chair the Change Advisory Board to ensure all production system changes are implemented in the most appropriate manner.
  • Review and update the Major Incident Process and documentation

As Service Operations Manager you will have following background and knowledge;

  • ITIIL Certified (More than Foundation. Ideally Expert)
  • Ideally be from a retail/hospitality/strong customer service background
  • Have experience of working with cross functional teams
  • Management experience of teams up to 15
  • You will have Chaired the CAB
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • strong communicator who is able to translate and adapt messages for different stakeholder groups including technical and non-technical audiences.
