Identity and Access Manager/Identity and Access Engagement Manager/IAM Consultant - Hertfordshire

ECS is looking to recruit an Identity and Access Manager/Identity and Access Engagement Manager/IAM Consultant, to work onsite with a blue chip client based in Hertfordshire,

For this role, you will be required to engage with application teams to understand their current IAM position and processes; guide teams through the process of integrating/on boarding to the IAM system.


  • Guide application teams through the on boarding process to the IAM system
  • Provide guidance on the outcomes of on boarding; what the change means from an operational perspective & why the change is required
  • Agree the technical method for on boarding with the owning team - requires a good level of technical understanding of APIs and SQL
  • Gather required information from application teams to enable the IAM Engineering team to complete on boarding.
  • Track the progress of engaged teams through the engagement Pathway to on boarding; manage the on boarding pipeline with the on boarding Team Lead, to maximise throughput; report on progress regularly to Security Governance and the Head of Product.
  • Suggest improvements and refinements to the on boarding process in order to increase throughput.


  • A strong practical understanding of IAM key concepts and their application, including; user entitlement reviews/attestation, access request best practice, authentication and authorisation
  • Strong experience in application integration to IAM systems, specifically for enterprise applications with complex authorisation schemes (eg split role and data access).
  • Ability to understand and agree any technical changes required to integrate to the IAM system.
  • Good understanding of GDPR requirements related to Identity and Access Management
  • This role will be primarily interacting with business, operational and technical owners of applications; experience working across Technology and other business areas is preferred.
  • Working experience of single sign-on common protocols (SAML, LDAP, OIDC) and their implementation.
