SAP Training Project Manager - Contract - West London

My client a top FTSE 100 Pharmaceuticals company is currently looking to recruit a SAP Training Project Manager to join its team on a contract basis in its offices in West London. This is to be part of a complex Global programme, working with a dynamic team on a market leading SAP ERP programme. The overall objective of the ERP Programme is to deliver standard financial and commercial processes on a common SAP software platform for around 80% of the organisation globally over the next 5-7 years.

The following processes are in scope for the ERP programme:

'Record-to-Report' (R2R). 'Purchase-to-Pay' (P2P). 'Order-to-Cash' (O2C). 'Supply Chain Planning' (SCP). 'Warehouse & Distribution' (W&D), including 'Quality Management' (QM). 'Consensus Forecasting' (CF). Trade Promotions Management (TPM)

The SAP Training Project Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Liaise with the process and functional workstreams to ensure the training materials accurately reflect the programme's business processes and system design
  • Ensure the training materials are of high quality and have a common look and feel that is consistent with other programme documentation
  • Manage any training-related risks, issues and dependencies
  • Manage the training environment across the full ERP project landscape including both technical and data requirements
  • Support the in country project change and training resource to ensure effective delivery of the market training activities in line with the established ERP methodology

The key experience for the SAP Training Project Manager includes:

  • Experience of multiple Global full system training life cycles, from defining the training strategy and performing the training needs analysis, through to the development, delivery and evaluation of the training
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Broad knowledge of SAP modules and functionality
  • Considers excellence a fundamental priority and is able to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines
  • Follows detailed procedures and ensures accuracy in documentation
  • Experience in the of delivery of learning virtually on a large scale
  • Effective in an environment with tight deadlines, finite resource and uncertainty
  • Solid understanding of training and development processes, including trends in people development, related technology learning tools and understanding of external resources in training and development.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Continuous improvement of processes for the development, delivery and maintenance of the strategy
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively and collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams and cultures to complete tasks to meet team objectives as necessary
  • Excellent planning skills. Experience of MS Project would be an advantage.
