The BridgeIT are working with a leading organisation in Calderdale to find an IT Helpdesk Supervisor who will be responsible for the IT Helpdesk and provide 1st/2nd Line support to internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for performing incident and problem management, and provide a responsive, customer and delivery focused IT support service. You will provide hardware and software support, have great communication and positive approach to work related issues.

Your duties and responsibilities involve:

  • Manage the IT Helpdesk and take responsibility for incident & problem management within the IT team.
  • Ensure adequate feedback is provided to stakeholders throughout the support life cycle
  • Provide a responsive, customer and solutions focussed 1st & 2nd line IT support service
  • Monitoring agreed KPIs around the helpdesk service delivery, such as resolution times, volume and performing trend analysis.
  • Taking responsibility for managing the installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software across
  • Assist the infrastructure team with the maintenance of hardware, software and network systems as directed by the IT Manager.
  • Train and mentor the IT Technicians and apprentices.
  • Deputise for the IT Manager
  • To attend regular IT support team meetings.

Skills and experience required for this role:

  • Extensive experience of working a busy IT Helpdesk
  • Strong knowledge of mobile devices and technologies
  • Windows 7 - 10 Desktop support experience
  • Previously supported mobile devices
  • Experience of LAN & Wi-Fi technologies
  • Knowledge of Active Directory/Group Policies administration
  • Experience working with large scale anit-virus solutions
  • Experience of SCCM desktop deployment

Some desirable expertise covers any line management experience.

There is travel involved between sites with this role.
